TOURISM RESEARCH ASSISTANT CO-OP (WINTER 2024)
With the help of another research assistant on this project, we evaluated existing research through a literature review on work-integrated learning and industry partnerships. This helped me understand the current knowledge and identify gaps in employer engagement within tourism education.
GRADUATION SEMINAR (WINTER 2026)
In my seminar, I reviewed academic research on consumer behaviour and study abroad experiences. I used this research to support my framework and ensure that my study was grounded in existing theory. Reviewing literature helped determine my metholodgy for my study.
TMGT 3050 ASSIGNMENT (FALL 2024)
In this assignment for TMGT 3050, my objective was to gain an understanding of the role and value of literature reviews within research. The general topic of the literature review was critical tourism. I was provided three readings and I had to additional select two other readings related to critical tourism research.
TOURISM KAMLOOPS PROJECT (WINTER 2024)
For Tourism Kamloops, I evaluated industry resources such as the Thompson Nicola Film Commission and the Tourism Kamloops website. Early in my research process, I identified a key challenge as many filming locations in Kamloops are on private land and not accessible to visitors. This led me to shift my intial approach. Instead of focusing on exact filming sites, I redesigned my itineraries as an experience. This way, the itineraries would highlight the landscapes and overall experience of the locations where these films were set.
